I’m don’t know who Shelley is, but I sure want to know, as she does a mean katsu curry. It’s an unusual mix at her (or his?) cafe, in fact, with Japanese options amongst kebabs and the usual breakfast items. But it works well. The curry comes in three sizes (£5/6/7) and I went with the middle option as I had a middle-sized appetite. It’s a thought out preparation with rice coated in a tasty curry sauce, with savoury notes and chunks of root vegetables as well some flakes of extra chicken. It did have that rich, savoury taste that you can only get from use of proper chicken stock which I think is the case here. No bones about it, so to speak. The katsu is thoughtfully placed on top with a golden crumb and and a crisp, satisfying bite. Great serving size and an awesome lunch stop to have so close to the office. Will return to check out the other offerings, which were also popular with the queue.
This one of best little cafe we have found after been working here for 12 months. The only down side to this cafe is very small so with limited seats but well worth the wait.
The wraps are delicious, the bread is immaculately cooked with amazing texture. The content of the wraps has a good mix of sause, salad and meat. They've got a good formula. Worth every penny.
